Our weekend in Cincinnati was great, and we had a blast.
Not only did we get to see Bodies: The Exhibit, but we also saw Augustana, Counting Crows and Maroon 5 put on an awesome show (if I can figure out how, I'll be putting up video). We stayed at our favorite mid-priced hotel, Drury Inn, which is always a super value, and very clean, and ate at a great deli, Melt. Not only did they have some great sandwiches, but they cater mostly to vegetarians, which E was over the moon about, so they had a lot of inventive dishes, such as biscuits and vegan sawmill gravy. We also got to visit Jungle Jim's, an amazing supermarket that covers 6 acres - it took us 5 hours to get through it, and that's with skipping several sections!
Tuesday marked a month of married life for us, so last night I made us a simple meal of Eggplant Patties, Indian Stewed Veggies (mushrooms, broccoli, green beans, onions, garlic, tomatoes and spinach) and some Potato Kugel. Tonight, I'm rehabbing some of the leftover veggies into a sort of quiche, with ricotta and phyllo.
Here are some clips from the concert:
This Love, Maroon 5
Wake Up Call, Maroon 5
Mr. Jones, Counting Crows
Rain King, Counting Crows feat. Augustana
Today, I'll leave you with a clip from Jon Stewart, on Sarah Palin.
