here we go again...

Happy Monday!

As you can see, I was in the mood for a bit of a change. I realized that I'd changed, and the tone of the blog had changed, but the look of the blog...not so much. I think it's due, how about you? I'm curious to know what y'all thing of the change; I want to know about the good, bad and the ugly. I know you're out there, now I want to hear from you! If commenting isn't your thing, please e-mail me (livelaughgrow at gmail dot com).

Overall, today's a been a fairly good day. It's nice outside, and I had a nice workout this morning, doing a little bit of everything, which involved the recumbent bike, treadclimber, walking and my usual Weighted Workout class. Thankfully, I started off my day with one of my favorite combos, whole wheat toast and MaraNatha almond butter, because it was a tough one! We did a workout entirely on the ball today, and at one point, I was doing crunches with both hands on my chest and one leg completely in the air! I'm actually shocked that I didn't fall straight off, and pretty proud of myself, too. I was able to catch my trainer on my way out, and was able to get my measurements taken, since it's the halfway point of the program (did I mention that I've been on local TV?). As a forever fat person, I had (and still have) no idea what my measurements should be, other than the ones I have now are too big. But, so far so good: I've lost 17.25 inches overall since February 6th, which is good (I think?). Also, my BMI (not that I put much faith in it) dropped 3.4 points and my body fat percentage dropped 3 percent. I do find it a little strange that the measurements on my right and left calves seem to have switched, and that somehow I gained a half inch on my right forearm, and the left stayed exactly the same. The body is a strange, fickle thing.

Since I had some yogurt, puffed wheat, cinnamon and maple syrup around 11 o'clock, I wasn't even hungry for lunch until 2 o'clock, at which point I was starting to get a little hungry and figured I should eat. We have a fairly strange amalgamation of food in the house right now, so I had a really colourful salad. It was definitely delicious, and definitely different! It had:
Thanks to E's handy-dandy microwave egg sandwich maker, this came together in just a few minutes, and I was able to cook the veggie cake in the bacon tray, which equals less dishes to do. Without a dishwasher, dishes are my nemesis, and seem to pile up way too quickly around here! We have our friend's senior art show tonight, so I'm still up in there on what to do for dinner. This may be a night for Subway.

In terms of the giveaway, everyone's a winner! Both participants will be sent 2 coupons each to purchase a Glade Sense&Spray of their own. You both should've received an e-mail from me, so please check your inbox. Also, The Fitnessista is giving away PETA's Vegan College Cookbook and some homemade macaroons! You definitely don't have to be a vegan to enjoy the food, so head over there and check it out!

I have a lot of fun doing giveaways, but I'd love for there to be more participation. I'm curious to know what kind of giveaways you're interested in entering, and what you wouldn't enter - leave me a comment letting me know, don't be shy!

Have a great day, and I'll see you tomorrow.

Congrat's on the recent loss Carly that's awesome!

As for your layout, I happen to think that its very "you". Colorful (but not tacky), simple yet visually appealing and truth be told, while I liked the other one you had I thought it was a little overwhelming and I like this one better :)

i like this format very much but i have to say i liked the other one too. For me, the openness (is this the right spelling?) of your words and the story they tell is much more important.

Your weight accomplishments are fantastic both poundwise, inches, and BMI. I hope you'll be able to give me a lot of pointers.

Keep up the good work and be proud of your new lifestyle
